Privacy policy

The Turn Uploader ("the app") is the publishing tool of the YouTube channel The Turn (@theturnhistory). This policy explains what the app does with data from your Google Account. Contact: duanany.creates.ai@gmail.com.

YouTube API Services

The app uses YouTube API Services. By using it you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

What the app accesses

Only after you sign in with Google and allow it, the app uses these permissions on the channel you choose:

• Upload videos (youtube.upload): to upload the channel's own videos and Shorts, with their title, description, tags, visibility and publish time.
• Manage your YouTube account (youtube.force-ssl): to set a video's thumbnail and captions, add it to the channel's playlists, post the channel's own comment under it, and read back the channel name and the video's status (privacy, publish time, processing).

The app does not read your watch history, subscriptions, private messages, viewers' personal data or any other Google service.

How the data is used

The app only performs the actions the channel owner starts, on the owner's own channel. It does not use YouTube data for advertising, profiling, analytics or training models, and it does not sell, rent or share it with anyone.

Where it is stored

The app has no server and no database. The sign-in token Google issues is stored only on the channel owner's own computer, in a file only that user can read. A small record per uploaded video (its id, title, visibility and publish time) is kept next to the video files on the same computer. Nothing is sent anywhere except to Google's own APIs.

Deleting your data and revoking access

You can revoke the app's access at any time on myaccount.google.com/permissions (Third-party apps & services). Deleting the token file removes the app's stored access; deleting a video's record removes what the app kept about it. On request to duanany.creates.ai@gmail.com we delete any of it within 7 days.

Limited Use

The Turn Uploader's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

This website

This website sets no cookies and runs no tracking or analytics. Its host, Cloudflare, may process technical request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect the site.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
